Two Trailers for the Price of One

As most of you know, both Amy and I have been striving to finish the two films we had planned for this year. Though post-production has been a serious "learning experience" for both projects (which is really just a nice way of saying "nearly-disastrous nightmare"), the films must go on! And we have proof--in the form of trailers. Take that, Life!

First, Disconnected.

Next, The Worm and The Poodle.

Spectacle: A Spinning Gyre/Anarch City Collaboration

So as many of our regular viewers know, The Spinning Gyre is a semi-sister company with a couple other performance groups in Madison. This month, we are collaborating with one of these groups, Anarch City Theatre, to produce a multimedia play that tells the story of a school shooting from several different points of view: the first is from the perspective of the shooter through her video diary entries, and the others are from two survivors looking back on the event several years later. The script was written by me (Sarah), and I have also been serving as the director of photography and editor of all video-related components, including the promotional piece below (also running as a commercial on WYOU, Madison's public access station).

Showtimes are 8/19, 8/20, and 8/21 at 8pm. For tickets and more information, visit www.anarchcity.com.

Technology Makes Liars Of Us All

Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Squad.

So of course our much-anticipated Halloween release is landing about half a day late after I discovered at approximately 8 PM that the video was going to take 7 hours to export. 7 hours, Final Cut Express? Really? It's 2010; the only technology-related thing that should take 7 hours these days is going to the moon. Or maybe building a Hadron collider.

But it's okay- I mean, who are we to compete with candy, drinking and bafflingly skimpy anachronistic costuming? It's better this way, kids. Or so I tell you to make myself feel better about an already much-delayed release.

But it's here now! It's begun! We have officially kicked off Season 1 of The Bod Squad. Every Sunday from now until December, you'll be treated with a brand new episode of your favorite sexy grad students on the run.

Enjoy! And leave comments if the spirit moves you.

Next time, it'll be 6 months late and $30 million over budget... then I'll know I've arrived.

Bod Squad Release Date Announced

That is correct, we have finally determined when you will be able to catch up with the trials and tribulations of everyone's favorite collegiate felons. Look for Episode 2 release on October 31st, and a new epsiode every week after that.

However, if the pilot isn't enough to sate your appetite over the next couple of weeks (though you should all watch it again anyway--I find it gets better upon repeat viewing), you can take a look at this little teaser trailer, and keep checking back here for more little tibits as well move closer to the final cuts.

Until then...enjoy!

The Bod Squad- The Trailer!

We've been cooking up such things around here lately, and finally, something delicious has come out of the Spinning Gyre kitchen! We present to you a trailer for The Bod Squad- the newest web series to come out of Madison WI.

I'd tell you about the premise, maybe something about girls in lingerie and robbery and running from the law, but I think the trailer will speak for itself.

The full first episode should be out by the end of the weekend. Stay tuned!!
