A Fairly Normal Love Story

For those of you that couldn't make it to the 48 Hour Film Fest screening in Madison (like...those of you that don't live in Madison), here's your chance to see our submission.

In case you don't know how this kind of contest works, we had 48 hours to write, film edit and score a short film. We drew a genre at random and everyone in the contest had to incorporate a given character, prop and line of dialogue. We drew Romance, and the other elements were as follows:

Character: Matt or Maggie Michaels, musician

Prop: Calendar

Line of Dialogue: "Where do you want to meet?"

Based on the other submissions, I would say we were one of the newest groups to participate. I also think we did a damn fine job of it.

UPDATE: At the "Best of" awards ceremony last week, "A Fairly Normal Love Story" walked away with Best Use of Character, Best Use of Genre, Best Writing, and Runner Up for fan favorite (and the film that won fan favorite was absolutely perfect--we all voted for it too).

Not bad for our first year.
