And they're off!

Filming has commenced!

We held a read-through and meet-n-greet with the actors the other day, with the tasty bribe of Roman Candle pizza, open now in Fitchburg! (Come on, Roman Candle, you totally want to pay me for saying shit like that! Some day... some day.)

Perhaps more excitingly, this afternoon, Sarah and I filmed the very first scene of The Bod Squad. We shot the very last scene of the pilot episode first, actually; somehow it always happens that way, doesn't it? And we stumbled into a really amazing light situation... the scene is supposed to take place at dawn, but we were obviously not going to get up that early on a Sunday, so we went out at 6PM and filmed with the sun setting at our backs. The shots were illuminated really well; I'm excited to go through the footage and see what we have.

The sound situation was less than ideal- go figure, a gas station full of loud traffic. We recorded some ambient noise, though, and hopefully we can dub Chris Snapp's lines over the noise track, and everything will sound okay. Nay, will sound awesome!

Next weekend is Craziness^2, but the weekend after that we should be getting the bulk of the remaining filming done. And Sarah is almost done writing Episode 2, which means I can twist up a good yarn for Episode 3, and the saga of Alex, Carolyn and Pill will continue. More updates as filming progresses!
